Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a subsidiary of the Tata Power Company, has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) to accelerate rooftop solar adoption among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Bengal.

The MoU aims to drive structured awareness and outreach programs for MSMEs across key industrial sectors in West Bengal, the company said in a statement.

Tata Power Solaroof is driving rooftop solar adoption in West Bengal and as of November 2025, the state has installed a cumulative capacity of over 85 MWp through 20+ channel partners, enabling localised engagement, effective outreach, and seamless project execution for MSMEs across industrial clusters, the company stated.

At a business level, Tata Power Solaroof has established a strong presence across residential, commercial, and industrial segments, supporting the adoption of rooftop solar across diverse industries, the company asserted. It offers customers a comprehensive rooftop solar solution featuring high-performance modules backed by a 25-year performance warranty, financing options, insurance, and robust after-sales support. “This end-to-end approach enables enterprises to transition to cleaner, more resilient energy solutions with confidence,” it said.

Tata Power Solaroof has a Pan India presence supported by a national ecosystem of over 650 channel partners, ensuring scale, consistency, and reliability in rooftop solar deployment. This expanding decentralised solar footprint aligns with the broader national trend, where rooftop solar installations have surpassed 3 lakhs, accounting for over 4 GWp of installed capacity, the company stated.
