ThunderPlus has opened a MegaWatt Ultra Fast Charging Hub near Bangalore International Airport, in Mutthugadahalli. The hub has a capacity of up to 1 MW and offers chargers from 7.4 kW AC to 240 kW DC.

According to the company, the hub, spread over 28,000 sq ft, can charge over 100 cars and 10 buses at once. Its location near the airport helps connect Bangalore with major EV-ready highways, making it ideal for fleet operators, bus services, cargo movers, and daily EV users.

This is ThunderPlus’s second 1 MW hub, following the one in Hyderabad. A third hub will open soon in Kurnool. Together, these stations now power the full Hyderabad–Bangalore Highway, allowing long-distance EV travel with ease.

Speaking on this development, Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, said, “Our mission is to electrify all major Indian highways with MegaWatt-class ultra-fast charging infrastructure. With hubs like Bangalore, Hyderabad, and soon Kurnool, we are creating a future-ready charging ecosystem that caters not just to cars, but also to buses, trucks, and high-capacity EVs.”

“We have already electrified the Hyderabad–Vijayawada corridor and will soon begin work on the Vijayawada–Visakhapatnam stretch, further strengthening India’s EV highway network,” he added.

ThunderPlus plans to build a nationwide network of 1 MW+ stations with ultra-fast chargers up to 320 kW. These stations can charge EVs in under 20 minutes and offer rest areas for travelers.
