The third edition of the REconnect Annual Flagship Summit & Expo 2026, organised by Energetica India, is set to convene policymakers, RE developers, manufacturers, investors, utilities, and technology providers at The Grand New Delhi on May 21-22, 2026 to deliberate on RE integration, storage, manufacturing, grid modernisation, and India’s clean energy.

The third edition of the REconnect Annual Flagship Summit & Expo 2026, organised by Energetica India, is set to take place on May 21-22, 2026 at The Grand New Delhi, reinforcing its role as a key industry platform for India’s rapidly evolving renewable energy sector.
The expanded two-day summit and expo will convene policymakers, renewable energy developers, manufacturers, utilities, investors, technology providers, and industry stakeholders to discuss the next phase of India’s clean energy transition, with a focus on accelerating renewable deployment, energy storage, domestic manufacturing, grid modernisation, digitalisation, and long-term energy security.
Building on the success of its previous editions, the 2026 event has been scaled up from a one-day conference format to a larger two-day summit and exhibition. The agenda includes dedicated sessions on utility-scale renewable energy, distributed energy solutions for residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) consumers, open access, transmission infrastructure, energy storage systems, and emerging clean energy technologies expected to play a critical role in India’s decarbonisation journey.
Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power System), Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Dr. Jeevan Kumar Jethani, Senior Director/Scientist-F, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), and Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General, National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) will be the Guests of Honour. Through their keynote address, they will emphasise the role of policy and regulations clarity in fostering renewable energy project development by boosting investors’ confidence and helping RE and BESS expansion in India.

Through high-level panel discussions, expert sessions, and focused networking opportunities, the 3rd Edition of REconnect Annual Flagship Summit and Expo 2026 will address critical industry themes such as energy security, the expansion of solar PV manufacturing, evolving regulatory frameworks, utility-scale renewable energy growth, rooftop solar adoption across C&I and residential segments, open access and captive procurement models, BESS integration for the C&I sector, and measures to strengthen grid reliability and resilience.

Discussions will focus on the role of solar, energy storage, green hydrogen, and gas in strengthening energy security, alongside India’s policy roadmap for achieving greater energy independence while balancing affordability, reliability, and sustainability.
- Innovation in Solar Cells & Emerging Technologies: The panel will focus on the evolution of TOPCon, HJT, BC, tandem, and perovskite technologies, alongside discussions on efficiency, cost competitiveness, automation, AI, and India’s position in the global solar innovation ecosystem.
- Residential Solar: From Rooftops to Smart Energy Ecosystems: The session will discuss the acceleration of rooftop solar adoption under the PM Surya Ghar initiative, highlighting the growing shift towards OPEX and RESCO-led models. It will also cover integration with EV charging and smart grids, evolving financing platforms, and key challenges, including net metering restrictions, DISCOM concerns, and rooftop readiness.
- C&I Sector: Powering India’s Industrial Decarbonisation & Data Centres: The session will examine the rapid growth of open access, group captive, and hybrid renewable energy models, driven by rising DISCOM tariffs and corporate ESG commitments. Discussions will also focus on solar-plus-storage integration, cost optimisation strategies, and regulatory challenges related to banking, cross-subsidy surcharges, and project approvals.
- Utility-Scale Renewables: Scaling Capacity with Stability: The session will focus on India’s roadmap to 500 GW of renewable energy capacity, highlighting the role of mega RE parks and hybrid projects integrating solar, wind, and storage. Discussions will also cover land and transmission challenges, grid integration, curtailment risks, and the role of REIAs, state tenders, and private developers.
- Solar Manufacturing & Components: Building a Self-Reliant Ecosystem: The session will examine India’s push towards integrated solar manufacturing from polysilicon to modules, supported by PLI schemes, ALMM regulations, and localisation initiatives across the supply chain. It will also assess export opportunities, global competition, and emerging risks related to overcapacity, pricing pressure, and rapid technology transitions.
- Energy Storage: Enabling Round-the-Clock Renewable Power: The session will highlight the growing role of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in grid stabilisation and enabling round-the-clock renewable energy integration. Discussions will cover solar-plus-storage hybrid tenders, evolving policy support, industrial and C&I applications, as well as cost trends, localisation efforts, and emerging storage technologies.
