THDC Initiates INR 63.56 Crore Tender for 11 MW Floating Solar PV Plant

Miniratna PSU THDC has initiated a tender process for the establishment of an 11 MW (AC) floating solar PV (FSPV) plant on the raw water reservoir of Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant.
The tender, valued at INR 63.56 crore (including GST), had a deadline for bids set on November 20.
The opening of the techno-commercial bid is scheduled for November 21. Bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 63.56 lacs (including GST), and the project is anticipated to be completed within nine months from the effective date of the contract.
THDC India Limited (THDCIL) has plans to enhance its power generation capacity, aiming to add 2764 MW by 2024-25. This includes the expected commissioning of three ongoing power projects: Tehri Pumped Storage Plant (1000 MW), Vishnugad HEP (444 MW), and Khurja STPP (1320 MW).
Additionally, THDCIL is actively engaged in the development of a 2000 MW Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh through a joint venture with Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) under the name TUSCO Limited.
Moreover, the company is progressing towards establishing 10,000 MW Renewable Energy parks in Rajasthan through a joint venture with Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited known as TREDCO Limited.
The comprehensive approach includes ventures in Karnataka, covering ground-mounted, floating solar, and hybrid projects, with pumped storage projects playing a pivotal role. Collectively, these initiatives are poised to contribute 3270 MW to India's renewable energy landscape.
