TGV SRAAC Commissions 2.5 MW Solar Plant, Cumulative Capacity Crosses 40 MW

TGV SRAAC Ltd. has added 2.50 MW to its solar power capacity, taking its total to 40.40 MW as part of a planned 100 MW solar expansion, to support sustainable operations in its chlor-alkali and chemical manufacturing business.

TGV SRAAC Ltd., a company specialising in the production of chlor-alkali products, castor derivatives, and fatty acids, and the flagship company of the TGV Group, has announced that the company has made 2.50 MW solar power capacity addition.

“It may further be noted that with the above, the solar power generating capacity of the company will be 40.40 MW,” the company stated in a regulatory filing.

This part of the 60 MW capacity that the company’s Board approved earlier. The work for the balance 19.60 MW capacity is progressing satisfactorily, it said. 

Earlier this month, the company’s board approved an investment of INR 120 crore to set up a 40 MW solar plant. Once operational, this will take the company’s total solar plant capacity to 100 MW.
