TERI University hosts RETOPIA 2013

Renewable energy for inclusive growth.

With the aim to create awareness about renewable energy among students fraternity, TERI University students organized their annual fest ‘REtopia 2013 – Renewable Energy for Inclusive Growth’.TERI University showcased interesting cases of extra-ordinary people striving for greener earth. In addition to this, an open platform ‘Head to Head’ was also conducted for power generators, consultants, market experts, academicians and other renewable energy players. They discussed questions and new ideas with the top policy makers, regulators and financial institutions to put forth their pressing problems related to policy implementation or regulations in front of top policy makers, regulators and financial institutions.

A panel discussion was conducted where speakers from leading businesses, academia and government and financial institutions attended the discussion.‘The RED Challenge’ where students will pitch for clean energy technology business ideas and ‘Best out of waste’ which is a waste art competition, were also conducted for students in the fest.

The event witnessed the participation of eminent luminaries from across the spectrum including policy makers, academia, students etc.In the past, the Department of Energy and Environment of TERI University has been conducting the annual fest ‘REtopia’ with the aim of bringing together professionals and policy makers to bring out the importance of renewable energy and sustainable development in today’s world. The university has seen participation of delegates from IREDA, MNRE, BEE, IITs, IEX, NPL, IOCL, Suzlon, TCS, TERI and students across the country.
