The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and ECOFUEL EV Charging Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration aims to strengthen e-mobility solutions and expand renewable-energy-based charging infrastructure across the country.
The partnership will see the two organisations jointly undertake technical studies, pilots, and other initiatives focused on advancing India’s electric mobility ecosystem. The MoU was formalised by TERI Director General Dr. Vibha Dhawan and Ecofuel CEO Manoj Gupta.
Speaking at the ceremony, D.r Dhawan underscored the pivotal role of transport in achieving India’s net-zero ambitions. She highlighted the insights from TERI’s Centre of Excellence for Green Ports and Shipping, noting that “a port cannot be truly green if the vehicles servicing it are not,” stressing the need to decarbonise logistics fleets through cleaner fuels and green mobility solutions.
Echoing this perspective, Gupta said that the energy transition goes far beyond the adoption of EVs. “We are effectively redeveloping India’s infrastructure, its people, its technology, and its culture,” he said, adding that the shift is not just about transport systems but about enhancing the entire passenger experience and enabling society to embrace the change.
