Tender For Rooftop Solar Systems worth 831 kWp Released in Tamil Nadu

The Tiruchirappalli City Corporation has announced that it has released tender inviting bids for setting up grid-connected rooftop solar systems at the city corporation buildings in Tamil Nadu.

The concise range of work for selected bidders will include the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the grid-connected solar rooftop systems at Tiruchirappalli City Corporation buildings to conserve conventional energy resources as part of their endeavor.

The chosen bidders will also be accountable for providing five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of the rooftop solar systems along with facilitating net metering from Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company (TANGEDCO) and capital incentives sanction from the Ministry of New Renewable Energy (MNRE).

The last date of bid submissions is February 27, 2019, and the bids will be opened on the same date. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 6,44,000 along with their bids, i.e. 1 percent of the total estimated cost of the project which is Rs 6,44,00,000.

To be entitled for qualification, the Bidder shall, over the past 3 financial years preceding the Bid Due Date, empanelled with Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) / Ministry of New Renewable Energy (MNRE) for establishment of Solar Power plants or, paid or received payment for establishment of grid-connected solar power plants not less than 1000 kW in total.

Moreover, should also have a net worth of Rs 2 crore at the close of any of the last three financial years preceding the bid due date. The projects will be developed on 206 feasible buildings pre-selected by the corporation.
