The Telangana government has signed multiple MoUs with companies to set up green energy projects worth over INR 1.50 lakh crore at the Telangana Rising Global Summit.
Axis Energy and Evren have committed INR 31,500 crore to develop 2,750 MW of renewable energy projects. The projects — spread across 19,750 acres — will include wind, solar, hybrid, and agri-PV solutions, creating over 4,750 direct jobs and strengthening Telangana’s clean energy future, the company stated.
Other major investment commitments in the renewable energy space included INR 29,800 crore from Greenco, INR 16,000 crore from Ecoren, INR 12,500 crore from AMR India, INR 5,600 crore each from Astha Green Energy and Cerulean Energy, and INR 2,500 crore from United Telecom.
In addition, Axis Ventures has committed INR 75,000 crore towards developing the Global Deep Tech Innovation City at Bharat Future City — a Net Zero urban cluster featuring global R&D hubs, frontier technology labs, and high-value service corridors. “These commitments will boost green infrastructure across the state, along with cutting-edge innovation, reinforcing Axis Energy’s long-term commitment to sustainable growth,” it said.
