Techno Electric Bags INR 1,750 Crore in Smart Metering and Transmission Projects

Techno Electric and Engineering Company has announced that it has secured new orders totaling INR 1,750 crore for smart metering and transmission projects.
The company detailed these substantial contracts in a regulatory filing, showcasing its continued growth and expertise in the infrastructure sector.
The major chunk of the orders, amounting to INR 1,041 crore, pertains to the advance metering infrastructure (AMI) project awarded by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL).
This initiative involves the installation of 7.27 lakh smart meters in Kashmir on a Design-Build Finance-Own-Operate-Transfer (DBFOOT) basis, highlighting Techno Electric's comprehensive approach to project execution.
In addition to the smart metering project, Techno Electric also secured transmission orders worth INR 709 crore. The transmission portfolio includes a substation package for Neemrana-II from Sterlite, valued at INR 199 crore. Furthermore, the company will be responsible for a substation package for the establishment of a 765,400 kV, 2x1500 MVA facility at Sikar from PGCIL, with a contract value of INR 223 crore.
Another noteworthy project involves a 'substation package for (i) 765/400 kV Dausa and (ii) an extension of 765 kV Beawar from PGCIL worth INR 288 crore.
