Tata Power Solar Bags Rs 538 Cr Orders from EESL to Set up 100MW Distributed Solar EPC Projects in Maharashtra

Utility giant Tata Power’s renewable energy arm Tata Power Solar has received the Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 538 crore from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) to build an aggregate 100 MW capacity of distributed ground-mounted solar projects.

Utility giant Tata Power’s renewable energy arm Tata Power Solar has received the Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 538 crore from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) to build an aggregate 100 MW capacity of distributed ground-mounted solar projects.
 
Furthermore, these solar projects are located in Maharashtra and are expected to be commissioned within 12 months time period, the solar EPC company said in a statement.
 
With this win, the utility-scale EPC order book of Tata Power Solar now stood at ~4 GW (DC) capacity with an approximate value of Rs 9,264 crore (without GST).
 
Moreover, the scope of work secured includes engineering, design, supply, construction, erection, testing, O&M and commissioning of the solar projects.
 
Commenting on the achievement, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD of Tata Power, said that, “we are enthused with the new contract win from EESL for distributed ground-mounted solar EPC projects. This is yet another recognition of Tata Power’s strong credentials in the solar energy domain and project execution capabilities.”
 
Over the years, the company has been one of India’s leading solar rooftop EPC players with compelling economics, especially for the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment.
 
It has executed various large projects including 150 MW Ayana at Ananthapur, 50 MW Kasargod at Kerala, 56 MW Greenko, 30 MWp solar power plant in Lapanga, Odisha, 105 MWp of floating solar at Kayamkulam (under implementation).
 
Besides, the company had also won an auction conducted by Gujarat for 400 MW of projects to be built at Dholera Solar Park.
