Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company, has commissioned a cumulative 10 GW of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) renewable energy projects.

The commissioned EPC portfolio includes 9.7 GW of solar power projects and 290 MW of wind power installations. Of the total capacity, 4.2 GW comprises in-house renewable projects, while 5.8 GW has been delivered for third-party clients.

During the first nine months of FY26, TPREL commissioned 1.88 GW of EPC renewable energy capacity, marking a 33 percent increase compared to the 1.4 GW commissioned during the same period in FY25. This growth highlights the company’s strong project execution capabilities, stringent quality standards and focus on safety.

Of the 1.88 GW added in the period, 1,329 MW of solar capacity was commissioned for third-party customers, while 546 MW was delivered for in-house projects, including 187 MW of wind and 359 MW of solar installations. These projects were executed across five states, often under challenging soil and climatic conditions.

In the third quarter of FY26, TPREL achieved its highest-ever quarterly installation, commissioning 941 MW of renewable energy capacity — a 139 percent increase over the 393 MW added in Q3 FY25. Key projects commissioned during the quarter included DCR-compliant solar projects for NHPC, NLC and SJVNL in Bikaner, Rajasthan, along with a 187 MW wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu.

TPREL attributed its consistent performance to advanced engineering practices, a robust supply chain, agile execution models and strong vendor partnerships, enabling timely project delivery while optimising costs.

The company’s total utility-scale operational renewable energy capacity now stands at 6.0 GW, comprising 4.8 GW of solar and 1.2 GW of wind. TPREL plans to commission an additional 0.75 GW of utility-owned renewable capacity during FY26, further strengthening its clean energy footprint.
