Tata Power-DDL Signs MoU with ASCI to Provide Collaborative Trainings

The MoU seeks to provide a framework for cooperation between ASCI and Tata Power-DDL for co-creation, development and imparting courses for Training and Skill Development to the personnel in the Power Sector and other interested organizations/individuals both in India and abroad.

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) and the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly impart trainings and develop capacity-building initiatives in the power sector in India and abroad.

The MoU seeks to provide a framework for cooperation between ASCI and Tata Power-DDL for co-creation, development and imparting courses for Training and Skill Development to the personnel in the Power Sector and other interested organizations/individuals both in India and abroad.

The MoU was signed by Praveen Agrawal, Chief - Human Resource, Industrial Relations, Social Impact Group, Facility Management & Health Services of Tata Power-DDL and Dr. Ompal Singh, Registrar & Secretary (i/c), Administrative Staff College of India through a virtual conference in the presence of Mr. Anoop Nandi, HOD – BD & Collaborations (HR-TD) and Prof. Rajkiran Bilolikar, Director - Centre for Energy Studies and other senior officials from both the organisations.

The collaboration aims to introduce and train engineers on emerging trends related to operation and maintenance, distributed energy generation, smart grid technologies, and activities of Power Distribution Systems, among others, for the next five years. The advanced training programs will cover a spectrum of crucial areas, including Smart Grid, Grid Automation (SCADA/ADMS), Smart Metering, Sub-Transmission Line, Grid Substation O&M from EHV to LV level, RE Grid Integration, Electric Vehicle and Charging Infrastructure, IoT, AI & ML with Drone Technology Integration, Fire & Safety, and Net Zero Emission. Both parties will engage in reciprocal faculty utilization for diverse training programs, enabling the invitation of Distinguished Faculty members from either organization to conduct select training sessions.
