Tata Power Club Enerji celebrates Club Enerji Carnival
Enable the Club to propagate its message of energy and resource conservation in a fun and engaging manner

Club Enerji, Tata Power's nationwide resource and energy conservation movement had organized its annual event 'Club Enerji Carnival'- which comprises of kaleidoscope of activities such as project displays, painting competitions, quiz and performances by school children from across the country to spread the message of saving environment and doing their bit on nation building. The purpose of this culmination event is to enable the Club to propagate its message of energy and resource conservation in a fun and engaging manner.
Club Enerji also announced the champions of the National Energy Quiz 2016 in the grand finale organised in Mumbai, The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Cyrus Mistry, Tata Group Chairman and Mr. Anil Sardana, CEO & MD, Tata Power; in addition to other Tata Power leadership members.
A total of 500 students across 6 cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru& Ahmedabad- participated in the Carnival. The highlight of the event, Energy Q, saw enthusiastic participation of the students where they enthralled the audience with their knowledge on energy conservation, Science and General Knowledge. 5 rounds of quiz preceded the grand finale where 4 schools were shortlisted from the initial 200 participating schools. NL Dalmia High School from Mira Road, Mumbai, emerged as the winner, and was crowned as the Tata Power Enerji Q Champion.

The success of this initiative is a fit example to put across the message that every effort, small or large counts in the larger goal of conserving resources & curbing wasteful usage of natural reserves.”
Mr. Anil Sardana, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Power, added, “Club Enerji Carnival brings together students across India and provides them with a platform to showcase their zeal in the area of energy conservation and resource conservation. It is really wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which the students participated in the quiz, and the extent of their knowledge on things related to resource conservation. The Carnival, organized to honor Tata Power’s 100 years contribution to the nation, saw 6 talented students from the participating cities showcasing their ideas to the jury panel through innovative projects themed on resource and energy conservation. To encourage this budding creativity, the jury selected and awarded 3 winners. A painting competition was also organised to encourage the bright minds, and 3 best paintings were shortlisted and awarded. The event drew to a close with Mr. Mistry & Mr.Sardana felicitating all the winners of the Club Enerji Carnival 2016.
The Club Enerji Programme has reached out to over 500 schools in India and has sensitised over 12.8 million citizens, who in turn have helped save more than 17.26 MUs of electricity till date. This is equivalent to saving 17,260 tonnes of CO2, and is enough to light up over 8,439 houses for a year. The Club also has 1,337 self-sustaining Mini Club Enerjis and has won several national and international accolades.
