Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has introduced its first advanced Pure EV architecture, named acti.ev (Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle).

This architecture will serve as the foundation for future products in the TPEM portfolio. The initial product based on this architecture is the Punch.ev, which is set to usher in a new era of electric vehicles. Customers can now book the Punch.ev by visiting Tata Motors showrooms authorized for EV sales or Tata.ev stores, with online bookings available at Tata.ev website for a payment of INR 21,000.

Anand Kulkarni, Chief Products Officer, Head of HV Programs and Customer Service at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., expressed pride in this groundbreaking development. He stated, "acti.ev is a global-ready, future-facing pure electric architecture that enables the implementation of software-oriented features, ensuring that our vehicles are not only technologically advanced but also future-proof." Kulkarni also introduced the Punch.ev as the first product born out of this advanced architecture, marking the next generation of EVs from TPEM.

The acti.ev architecture is built on key pillars of performance, technology, modularity, and space efficiency, comprising four layers: Powertrain (layer 1), Chassis (layer 2), Electrical Architecture (Layer 3) and Cloud Architecture (Layer 4).

TPEM's acti.ev architecture signifies a significant leap forward in EV technology, embodying innovation, efficiency, and a commitment to a sustainable future.
