Tata Motors Expands XPRES Fleet Portfolio with Petrol, Twin-Cylinder CNG Variants

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has expanded its XPRES fleet portfolio with the launch of Petrol and twin-cylinder CNG variants, aiming to widen its presence beyond electric mobility in India’s commercial passenger segment.

The XPRES Petrol has been introduced at an introductory price of INR 5.59 lakh, while the CNG variant is priced at INR 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings are now open across authorised fleet dealerships. The launch builds on the success of the XPRES EV and aligns with Tata Motors’ multi-powertrain strategy for fleet customers.

Both variants are powered by the company’s 1.2-litre Revotron engine and are offered with a manual transmission, designed for durability and high-utilisation operations. The XPRES CNG features a first-in-segment 70-litre (water capacity) twin-cylinder fuel tank, the highest in its segment, enabling extended driving range while retaining usable boot space.

The intelligent twin-cylinder configuration allows the CNG variant to offer uncompromised luggage capacity, addressing a key operational challenge for fleet operators. The petrol version offers a boot space of 419 litres, the largest in the petrol fleet sedan segment, enhancing suitability for airport transfers and intercity travel.

Tata Motors is offering a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, extendable up to five years or 1,80,000 km. The company claims a low maintenance cost of INR 0.47 per km, along with tailored finance solutions to reduce total cost of ownership for fleet operators.

To support the expanded portfolio, TMPV has also set up exclusive fleet-focused dealerships in select cities, providing dedicated sales and service infrastructure. The XPRES range, now available in EV, Petrol and CNG, targets high-volume segments such as cab aggregators, employee transport, rent-a-car services, airport transfers and tourist taxis.
