Tata Communications Acquires 26 Percent Stake in Clean Max Yuhdul for RE Project
Tata Communications acquired 26 percent stake in Clean Max Yuhdul Pvt. Ltd. to boost renewable energy usage and sustainability goals.

Tata Communications has acquired a 26 percent stake in Clean Max Yuhdul Pvt. Ltd. through a Share Purchase Agreement, as part of its renewable energy and sustainability strategy.
The company will purchase 2,600 equity shares in the special purpose vehicle (SPV) from Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd.for a total cash consideration of INR 26,000, priced at INR 10 per share.
The SPV, incorporated on October 23, 2025, will focus on power generation through non-conventional energy sources including solar and wind. The entity has not yet commenced operations and currently has no reportable financials.
Tata Communications said that the investment is aimed at supporting its long-term carbon neutrality and net-zero goals while improving energy cost efficiency through captive renewable power consumption at its Karnataka offices.
It may also be noted that Tata Communications is expanding its AI-ready digital infrastructure, increasing focus on sustainable power sourcing for data centres and enterprise operations. In February 2026, Tata Group companies partnered with OpenAI for AI-ready data centre capacity in India, highlighting rising clean energy demand linked to digital infrastructure growth.
