TARIL Bags DVC Order for 500 MVA and 200 MVA Auto Transformers

TARIL will manufacture and supply 500 MVA and 200 MVA auto transformers to Damodar Valley Corporation, with the project slated for completion in 15–28 months.

Transformers and Rectifiers, India (TARIL), a manufacturer of transformers and reactors, has received an order from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for the manufacturing and supply of 500 MVA and 200 MVA Auto Transformers and related work. The order is classified as a large order under the Company’s project classification and is scheduled to be executed within 15 to 28 months.

Satyen Mamtora, Managing Director and CEO, Transformers and Rectifiers (India), said, “India’s power sector is entering a phase where strengthening the grid will be as important as expanding generation capacity. This will require dependable, high-capacity equipment, stronger domestic manufacturing capabilities and greater resilience across the power value chain. Orders such as this reinforce the importance of building these capabilities within the country.
