Switch Mobility has signed an MoU with MoEVing, an electric mobility technology platform, to deliver 2,500 SWITCH IeV4 LCVs to be deployed in the logistics sector.
The strategic alliance seeks to overhaul last-mile delivery operations, simultaneously advancing India’s objectives of curbing carbon emissions and fostering sustainable economic development.
Mahesh Babu, CEO, Switch Mobility said, “The global landscape of urban mobility is undergoing a historic shift towards electric vehicles, and Switch Mobility is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation. Our SWITCH IeV4 which is India’s first e-LCV in a 3.5-tonne category is built on a cutting-edge 310 V high-voltage architecture for enhanced performance. Our vehicle offers superior payload, extended range and maximised volumetric space, all resulting in a significantly better TCO, making the SWITCH IeV4 the smarter choice for a greener future.”
Vikash Mishra, Founder and CEO, MoEVing said, “For the past 2 years, our partnership with Switch Mobility has been marked by their commendable proactive and collaborative approach to vehicle development. The arrival of the first batch of Switch IEV4 vehicles in Delhi for MoEVing fills us with immense pride. We will be introducing this innovative vehicle across all our customer networks, enhancing our commitment to transforming logistics with cutting-edge solutions.”
The Switch IeV 4, a variant of the Switch IeV Series, is an intelligent electric light commercial vehicle (e-LCV). It features a 32.2 kWh battery, offers a spacious cargo area and delivers a 120 km range for safe, comfortable and efficient operations. The EV has a 60-kW motor and 230 Nm torque that provides a strong performance. The IeV 4 also boasts of 1700kg payload capacity and the Switch iON system – a proprietary, connected technology telematics solution helps businesses achieve smarter and more cost-effective fleet operations. The system optimises routes, promotes efficient driving, prevents breakdowns, and provides real-time data for streamlined deliveries.
