Swelect Energy Systems, Grew Energy, and ReNew Photovoltaics have emerged as winners in the Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) auction facilitating the manufacturing, testing, packaging, forwarding, supplying, and transporting of 400 MW domestically manufactured solar modules.

Swelect Energy Systems secured a 100 MW capacity, while Grew Energy secured 200 MW, and ReNew Photovoltaics bagged 100 MW. The evaluated bid value stood at INR 22.66/Wp, with a per MWp evaluated value of INR 2.26 crores for all participating bidders.

The tender, floated by SECI in December 2023, required selected manufacturers to utilize domestically manufactured solar cells in the modules. Additionally, bidders were mandated to provide a single type of module technology, specifically crystalline technology, with identical dimensions.

The project site for module delivery is flexible, allowing it to be situated anywhere in India. The tender demands the use of domestically manufactured solar cells and modules meeting the specifications outlined by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, sourced from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
