SVKM’s NMIMS Partners with SunInfra Energies to Power Campuses with Over 12 MWp Solar Energy

NMIMS University partners with SunInfra Energies for a 12.5 MWp solar project powering six campuses across Maharashtra, meeting 70 percent of their energy needs and generating 1.75 crore units annually.

In a landmark move toward sustainability, SVKM’s NMIMS University has collaborated with SunInfra Energies to commission a 12.5 MWp open-access captive solar project, among the largest in India.

This initiative will supply clean solar power to six NMIMS campuses across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Dhule, fulfilling nearly 70 percent of their energy requirements and generating around 1.75 crore units annually.

The project underscores NMIMS’s commitment to environmental stewardship, blending innovation, education, and renewable energy to drive a greener academic ecosystem.
