Suzlon Reports INR 3,819 Crore Revenue in Q1 FY27, Records 506 MW Deliveries

Suzlon Group has reported a strong start to FY27, posting a 23 percent YoY increase in revenue from operations to INR 3,819 crore in the first quarter, driven by record first quarter wind turbine deliveries and a robust order pipeline.

The company achieved its highest ever first quarter deliveries of 506 MW, up 14 percent from 444 MW in the corresponding period last year. Commissioning more than doubled to 269 MW during the quarter, reflecting progress in project execution.

Suzlon secured nearly 1 GW of fresh orders during the quarter, including two major developer led EPC contracts from Tata Power and the Waaree Group. Its cumulative order book stood at around 6.1 GW, with 84 percent of orders coming from the public sector and commercial and industrial segments. The share of EPC business increased to 32 percent from 22 percent a year earlier, in line with the company's strategy.

Revenue from operations rose to INR 3,819 crore in Q1 FY27 from INR 3,117 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA stood at INR 595 crore compared with INR 599 crore a year ago, while the EBITDA margin declined to 15.6 percent from 19.2 percent. Net profit after tax came in at INR 305 crore against INR 324 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Vice Chairman Girish Tanti said that Suzlon had launched its "Suzlon 2.0" strategy with four business verticals comprising renewable energy technology, renewable energy development, renewable energy projects and renewable energy asset management. He added that the newly launched S175 5 MW wind turbine platform had made a strong debut, while the S144 3 MW platform continued to gain order momentum.

Chief Executive Officer Ajay Kapur said that the company's record first quarter deliveries reflected disciplined execution across operations. He added that Suzlon was well positioned to meet future demand following the launch of its first FDRE ready S175 wind turbine and the scaling up of manufacturing at its Bhuj facility.

Chief Financial Officer Rahul Jain said that revenue growth reflected healthy execution and project deliveries. He said that EBITDA and net profit margins were impacted by temporary logistics disruptions arising from geopolitical developments, strategic investments, and changes in project scope and business mix.

During the quarter, Suzlon also doubled the capacity of its rotor blade manufacturing facility in Jaisalmer from 630 MW to 1,260 MW by adding two new production lines. The expanded 30 acre facility can manufacture both S144 and S175 rotor blades and is expected to generate employment for more than 1,200 people.

The company also continued execution of its 1.2 GW NTPC wind project in Gujarat and appointed Anjali Byce as Group Chief Human Resource Officer as part of its leadership expansion under the Suzlon 2.0 strategy.
