Suzlon Expands Andhra Pradesh Wind Footprint with 1,325 MW Projects
Suzlon has begun 1,325 MW of wind projects in Andhra Pradesh’s Ananthapuramu, backed by INR 10,500 crore investment, creating 1,600 jobs and strengthening the state’s clean-energy ecosystem and manufacturing capabilities.

Suzlon Group, a wind-first renewable energy solutions provider, has marked a milestone in its two-decade partnership with Andhra Pradesh by breaking ground on 1,325 MW of wind energy projects in the Ananthapuramu region. The projects are expected to attract INR 10,500 crores in investment and generate 1,600 direct and indirect jobs, further contributing to the State’s vision of Viksit Andhra Pradesh. Suzlon is now operating with four production lines in the Ananthapuramu blade facility with added capacity.
The ceremony was graced by Nara Lokesh, Minister of HRD, IT, Electronics and Communications, and RTG, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and Girish Tanti, Co-Founder of Suzlon Group, along with senior members of the State Government, industry leaders and Suzlon’s customers.
For over two decades, Suzlon has been a key partner in building Andhra Pradesh’s renewable energy economy, from advanced manufacturing and project development to jobs and green skills. Suzlon has catalysed approximately INR 15,500 crore of investment in the State and is executing around 1,600 MW of wind projects. Its state-of-the-art Ananthapuramu blade manufacturing facility, with an annual capacity of 1,260 MW, supports over 1,200 direct and indirect green jobs. Beyond manufacturing, The company is powering a green-skilling programme, training 12,000 young people, including 3,000 women, through skill development labs in Uravakonda and Vijayawada.
