Suryam International, a part of Group Surya, has won Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 13th Green Ammonia auctions under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A), for a supply of 4,000 TPA of Green Ammonia to Madras Fertilizers Ltd., Chennai, at a tariff of INR 50/kg.

This is the second lowest price discovered, slightly above the INR 49.75/kg quoted by ACME Cleantech Solutions to supply 1,00,00 TPA green ammonia to IFFCO Paradeep in Odisha.

This also concludes SECI’s planned 13 auctions with a cumulative capacity of 7.24 lakh MT/year.

ACME Cleantech Solutions, NTPC Renewable Energy, Onix Renewable, Oriana Power, Jakson Green and a consortium of SCC Infrastructure with InSolare Energy have won the previous auctions at a tariff in the range of INR 49.75/kg to INR 64.74/kg.

Among these, ACME Cleantech Solutions has bagged the highest capacity of 3,70,000 TPA through six wins. The consortium of SCC Infrastructure and InSolare Energy, too, has won 2 auctions securing a total capacity of 85,000 TPA,

“These results reflect the diversity of India’s energy landscape, where geography, scale, and logistics shape tariff outcomes. It also underscores that India’s clean molecule transition is not one-size-fits-all, but a mosaic of regional realities coming together into a national story,” stated SECI.

It further added, “With MNRE’s vision and leadership, the Department of Fertilizers’ backing and support, and SECI’s transparent facilitation, India’s Green Ammonia journey is taking firm shape. IFFCO’s strong support as an off-taker has been integral to this initiative, ensuring market confidence and demonstrating the readiness of the fertiliser sector to embrace green ammonia.”
