Uzbekistan has successfully connected the first phases of two solar power plants, with a combined installed capacity of 500 MW, to the grid for power generation. Sunpure has supplied hundreds of intelligent PV railed cleaning robots to maintain these plants.
Among them, the Samarkand 220 MW PV cleaning project was highlighted in the international edition of the People’s Daily, one of the most authoritative media in China, showcasing it as a significant collaboration between China and Uzbekistan in the renewable energy sector.
Due to increasingly severe sand and dust issues, the power plant system integrated the tracker system and the Sunpure PV Cleaning System at the early design stage. This project features a single robot covering a length of up to 2.4 km, making it the longest known project of its kind globally.
To meet the long-distance cleaning need of the project, Sunpure has enhanced the robot's performance in several ways, including using high-power modules, reducing system operating energy consumption, and enhancing robot durability. Additionally, in some areas, a creative dual docking station solution has been implemented. This innovative approach not only effectively reduces system deployment costs and aids in lowering the LCOE but also maximizes the operational efficiency of the PV cleaning robots, doubling the benefits with "tracker + intelligent cleaning."
