Sungrow showcased its latest solar and storage innovations at Intersolar South America 2025, held from 26-28 August in São Paulo, Brazil.
The company has reached a milestone of 25 GW in cumulative contracted PV inverter orders and 10 GWh in energy storage systems across Latin America, highlighting its growing role in the region’s clean energy transition.
To address Brazil’s expanding distributed generation market, Sungrow has introduced solutions tailored for residential, commercial and industrial applications – S2500S-L microinverter, designed to optimise PV arrays and minimise clipping losses. The company also launched the MGRL single-phase hybrid inverters for affordable residential and small commercial use, compatible with local battery technologies.
For larger projects, Sungrow unveiled the SG50CX-P2-LV string inverter, built for three-phase 220V grids commonly used in Brazil. It features advanced fault detection, arc protection and outdoor durability to meet the maximum power limit required to qualify for the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
In utility-scale projects, the company debuted the 1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter, a scalable block design ranging from 800 kW to 9.6 MW and 5 MWh liquid-cooled ESS PowerTitan 2.0 for exceptional efficiency, safety, and reliability. For commercial and industrial clients, the company highlighted the PowerStack 255CS storage solution, designed for backup power, peak shaving and microgrid applications.
"We are proud to bring comprehensive innovations to the Latin American market, enabling cleaner, more reliable and more resilient energy solutions. Reaching the 25 GW PV and 10 GWh ESS milestone is a testament to Sungrow's deep engagement and strong partnerships in the region. We look forward to work alongside our partners to expand access to clean power and accelerate Latin America's transition to a low-carbon future," said Ada Li, Vice President, Sungrow Americas.
The company also presented a rapid shutdown solution compliant with new Brazilian safety standards, ensuring rooftop PV systems to reduce DC voltage to below 35 V within 30 seconds during grid outages, fires, or other emergencies.
