SUN Mobility Partners with Zomato to Electrify 50,000 Two Wheelers

Under this alliance, SUN Mobility will facilitate its battery swap solutions for last-mile deliveries with the initial fleet use to begin in the National Capital.

SUN Mobility has entered into a partnership with Zomato to electrify 50,000 electric two-wheelers of the fleet for more than subsequent two years.

Under this alliance, SUN Mobility will facilitate its battery swap solutions for last-mile deliveries with the initial fleet use to begin in the National Capital.

This collaboration is purportedly for the last-mile delivery partners consigned with Zomato’s platform will help in the smooth and cost-effective battery swapping solutions for their electric two-wheelers.

The arrangement of 50,000 electric two-wheelers in Zomato’s fleet will minimize the carbon footprint by 5,000 MT/month which assists for clean and green environment.

Zomato COO-Food Delivery Mohit Sardana stated, “our associations in the past and now with SUN Mobility to swap batteries will accelerate the transition to EV-based deliveries, further helping us keep our promise of a sustainable Zomato for customers, delivery partners, employees and the planet.”

The two firms is basically working towards Zomato’s commitment i.e., ‘The Climate Group’s EV100 initiative that implies 100 per cent EV adoption by 2030’ and along with SUN Mobility’s objective is to electrify last-mile deliveries in our country.

SUN Mobility's objective is to make a worldwide network of coherent energy infrastructure to advance adoption of electric mobility with huge number of people. The way of seggregating batteries from vehicle through the fast battery swapping structure so that identifying the key issues facing electric vehicles including high upfront cost, range anxiety and extended charging time.
