Subhankar Sen Takes On Additional Charge as Director (HR) of BPCL
BPCL has announced that Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), has assumed additional charge as Director (Human Resources), further strengthening the company’s leadership as it advances its growth and energy transition strategy.

Subhankar Sen is a graduate of the University of Calcutta and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Executive Management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. With over three decades of rich and diverse experience at BPCL, he has led and contributed across key marketing verticals including Retail, LPG, Lubricants, Aviation, Industrial and Commercial, Gas, and Consumer Retailing.
As Director (Marketing), he has been instrumental in strengthening BPCL’s market presence, driving customer-centric initiatives, and advancing the company’s integrated energy transition strategy. In his additional role as Director (HR), Sen will oversee the organisation’s human capital strategy, with a focus on talent development, leadership building, organisational transformation, and fostering a future-ready workforce aligned with BPCL’s long-term growth and sustainability ambitions.
Additionally, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has appointed Subhankar Sen as its Chairman with effect from April 01, 2026. Succeeding Raj Kumar Dubey, in accordance with the established rotational nomination process between the company’s promoter entities, he brings to IGL, a strong vision for sustainable growth and customer-centric excellence.
