The Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. (SWREL) has reported its strongest financial performance since listing, driven by record revenue, profitability, execution scale, and robust order inflows for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.
The company posted its highest-ever annual revenue of INR 7,548 crore, reflecting a steady year-on-year growth of around 20 percent. Operational EBITDA surged 53 percent YoY to INR 444 crore, supported by improved execution efficiency and enhanced lender support.
SWREL also recorded its highest-ever quarterly profit after tax (PAT) of INR 142 crore in the fourth quarter, while annual gross margins expanded to 10.5 percent, up from 10.1 Percent in FY25.
A key highlight of the year was the company’s record project execution, commissioning approximately 4.5 GW AC capacity across domestic and international markets — its highest-ever annual delivery. The milestone underscores the company’s growing project execution capabilities.
Order inflows during FY26 stood at around INR 10,062 crore, marking a 43 percent increase year-on-year across 12 projects. The unexecuted order value rose to INR 11,813 crore, the highest level since the pandemic period, providing strong revenue visibility going forward.
The company’s operations and maintenance (O&M) portfolio expanded sharply by 50 percent YoY to 13.5 GW, strengthening its recurring revenue base. Meanwhile, net debt declined by INR 149 crore on a sequential basis, aided by improved cash flows and scheduled repayments.
Commenting on the performance, CEO Chandra Kishore Thakur said that FY26 marked a transformational year for the company, driven by execution excellence, strategic partnerships, and expansion into new segments such as wind and battery energy storage systems (BESS), which are expected to contribute significantly to future growth.
Looking ahead, SWREL begins FY27 with a strong pipeline, including being declared the lowest bidder for a 1,182 MWdc turnkey solar project from Coal India Limited and securing a balance-of-system (BOS) order for a 50 MWdc project from a domestic independent power producer.
With operations spanning 28 countries and a total portfolio exceeding 27.3 GWp, the company remains well-positioned to capitalize on both domestic and international renewable energy opportunities.
