Statiq, India’s EV charging network provider, has announced a strategic partnership with BMW Group India to accelerate the electrification of major driving corridors across the country. The collaboration aims to deploy high-power charging stations (minimum 120 kW) every 300–350 kilometers, enabling seamless long-distance EV travel and minimising range anxiety for drivers.

Together, Statiq and BMW Group India have rolled out an expansive 4,000-kilometer charging corridor stretching from Jammu to Madurai, with fast chargers positioned along key highways and public locations. These chargers, open to all EV brands, are also integrated into the myBMW app, offering easy accessibility and navigation for BMW customers.

Akshit Bansal, Founder and CEO, Statiq, said, “Our partnership with BMW Group India marks a defining moment for India’s EV ecosystem. By ensuring high-power chargers every few hundred kilometers, we’re addressing range anxiety head-on and giving drivers the confidence to go electric for intercity travel. Our goal has always been to make EV charging simple, reliable, and accessible for all."

Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, “BMW Group India is proud to be the first luxury automaker to achieve 5,000 electric vehicle deliveries. Through our collaboration with Statiq and another EV charging partner, we’re expanding our national charging footprint with chargers offering capacities from 120 kW to 720 kW. Each location is designed to enhance the customer experience, with chargers near cafés, restaurants, and public spaces—making electric mobility both effortless and enjoyable.”

Raghav Arora, Co-Founder and  CTO, Statiq, added, “This partnership highlights how technology and collaboration can power India’s EV transition. By combining advanced digital experiences with high-performance chargers, we’re ensuring India’s highways are future-ready for the EV revolution.”

Statiq currently operates over 8,000 charging points across over 70 cities, spanning highways, malls, hotels, fuel stations, and major commercial hubs. Its app-based platform supports discovery, booking, and contactless payments, and is integrated with other major EV networks such as E-Fill, Sunfuel, and GLIDA to maximise reach and convenience.

As per the firm's statement, Statiq plans to expand to 20,000 charging points by 2026, deepening collaborations with state governments, automakers, and real estate developers.
