Srex Power India Bags Rs 660 Mn Contract to Build 220kV GIS Substation at Vivo Mobile’s Greater Noida Facility

Noida-headquartered Srex Power India has recently secured an order worth Rs 660 million from Vivo Mobile India for building an EHV 220kV Gas Insulated substation.

Noida-headquartered Srex Power India has recently secured an order worth Rs 660 million from Vivo Mobile India for building an EHV 220kV Gas Insulated substation.
 
Under the contract signed, the electrical service provider company would build a GIS substation for meeting the power demands of the mobile & electronic gadgets manufacturing unit at Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (UP).
 
The company said that it had won this contract amidst stiff competition from other contenders and this is the first 220kV Gas-based substation for any manufacturing industry in YEIDA or nearby area.
 
Recently, Srex Power held a ground-breaking ceremony and already started the work at the project site.
 
Discussing the project execution challenges, Sanjay Chatterjee, CEO – Operations at Srex Power India, explained that the cultural standard of procedure origin from China, manufacturing and dispatch of Power Transformers/ Gas Insulated Switchgear from the manufacturing plant to a site in a scheduled timeline, inclement soil conditions owing, as well as pandemic-related restrictions.
 
On the project commissioning timeline, Sanjay Chatterjee added that “early completion of the projects would be the key. We are committed to commissioning these substations in the next 12 months. Srex Power is committed to strengthening and modernizing India’s manufacturing industry to meet a sustainable power distribution network that will address the growing energy demand of India.”
