SPML Infra, a publicly listed infrastructure development company in India has secured a significant contract worth INR 165.41 Crore from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (RRVPNL) for the construction of 400 kV Grid Substation and Transmission Infrastructure at Dahra, in Kota, Rajasthan, to be executed in 24 months period. This order further strengthens the Company's growing portfolio in the high-capacity advanced power substation and transmission sector.
Rajasthan is at the forefront of India's energy transition, with one of the largest renewable energy producers in the country. The upgradation of high-voltage grid infrastructure is critical to enabling the reliable evacuation and transmission of power, both conventional and renewable across the state's rapidly expanding grid network.
The scope of work includes the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 400 kV Grid Sub-Station at Dahra equipped with one 500 MVA autotransformer bay. The project also covers a 420 kV, 1×125 MVAR bus-type shunt reactor bay, along with two 400 kV feeder bays and three 400 kV tie bays. In addition, all associated civil works, automation systems and communication infrastructure will be executed as part of the project.
Abhinandan Sethi, Managing Director, SPML Infra, said, "Rajasthan is not just expanding its grid, it is reshaping India's energy landscape. And SPML Infra is proud to be the execution partner powering that ambition. With over four decades of expertise, we bring not just technical capability but the confidence of proven delivery to every project we undertake. This order from RRVPNL marks another milestone in our commitment to building India's power infrastructure — stronger, smarter, and faster than ever before."
This order adds to SPML Infra's expanding power vertical, complementing its BESS business and its established leadership in sustainable infrastructure development. It underscores the Company's strategic focus on high-margin, government-funded infrastructure projects across its three core verticals — Water, Power and Energy Storage.
