Solis Highlights Storage Retrofit Solutions and AI Energy Management at Intersolar Europe 2026

Solis showcased its latest residential and commercial energy storage solutions at Intersolar Europe 2026, with a focus on addressing Europe's growing demand for solar storage retrofit applications.

At Intersolar Europe 2026, Solis showcased its latest energy storage portfolio while highlighting one of the most important opportunities now shaping the European market: helping existing solar owners add storage, improve energy control and unlock greater long-term value from their PV systems.

Across the exhibition, conversations with installers, distributors, wholesalers and project developers pointed to a clear trend. Europe’s large installed base of rooftop solar systems is now creating strong demand for storage retrofit solutions, as homeowners and businesses look to increase self-consumption, reduce exposure to changing electricity prices and improve energy independence, stated the company.

It further added that for many customers, the question is no longer whether solar is the right choice, but how to add storage in a way that is simple, cost-effective and ready for future energy needs. This shift was equally visible in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector, where factories, warehouses and commercial facilities with existing PV systems are exploring battery storage to optimise energy use, reduce peak demand and improve resilience during periods of grid instability.

To meet these changing requirements, Solis presented a range of residential and C&I storage solutions designed to support retrofit applications, flexible system design and faster deployment.

One of the key highlights was FlexAIO, Solis’ newly launched residential all-in-one energy storage platform. With its integrated stacked design, intelligent energy optimisation and simplified installation approach, FlexAIO drew strong interest from visitors looking for practical ways to add battery storage to existing residential solar systems with minimal disruption.

Alongside its residential solutions, Solis also showcased storage technologies for commercial and industrial applications, supporting businesses that need greater flexibility, stronger energy control and more effective use of on-site generation.

A major area of discussion throughout the exhibition was AI-powered energy management. Visitors showed strong interest in Solis AI, particularly its ability to optimise battery charging and discharging, respond to time-of-use tariffs where available, and help users maximise self-consumption automatically, stated the company.

It further added that as energy markets become more dynamic, intelligent control is becoming an increasingly important part of the storage decision. Customers are looking beyond hardware alone and are instead considering complete energy ecosystems that can adapt to changing tariffs, changing consumption patterns and future energy needs.

This long-term approach was also reflected in feedback from Solis partners at the event. Speaking during the exhibition, the co-founder of a European wholesaler that has worked with Solis for more than a decade said, “We’ve been working with Solis for more than 12 years. I would say one of the main reasons from the beginning is that Solis makes everything in-house. They don’t rely on a pieced-together production model – all the circuits and boards are made by Solis themselves. They are also very strong on R&D, and the team is always coming up with new solutions.”

The exhibition also created strong commercial momentum for Solis across multiple European markets. Discussions around distributor expansion, regional partnerships and project cooperation developed into several concrete business opportunities, further supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy in the region.
