In line with the expansion of its 1.2 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Surat, solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer Solex Energy is planning to drive the national apprenticeship promotion scheme under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s Skill India Mission.

With this extensive ultra-modern facility spread across more than 10 acres, the Gujarat-headquartered company has planned to incubate the technically trained and government certified manpower to implement its latest manufacturing technology and high-quality modules for delivering the enhanced performance and best generation in the industry.

Under the Skill India Mission program, NSE-listed Solex Energy envisaged training and engagement of over 5,000 candidates in a 12-months period from the date of commencement of the new facility.

Commenting on the development, Chetan Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of Solex Energy Ltd, said, “the efforts are focused more on the community development and skill development in the state of Gujarat. These are aligned with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) corresponding to good quality education, training and higher employability rate resulting in the economic growth of the communities within the state.”

Further, the company said that it is planning to come up with various government link development plans in the near future to serve the Aatam Nirbhar Bharat and Make in India mission of PM Modi.
