Solex Energy Ltd, a Surat-based solar energy solutions company with over three decades of industry experience, celebrated its migration from the NSE EMERGE platform to the NSE Main Board with a bell-ringing ceremony held in Surat.
The event was attended by senior delegates, bankers, investors, company directors, promoters, clients, and representatives from the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI).
Solex was among the first companies to list on the NSE EMERGE platform in 2018. Since then, it has demonstrated steady growth and financial resilience. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chetan Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of Solex Energy, said the migration reflects the company’s strong fundamentals and the trust of its stakeholders.
“Ringing the bell in our home city of Surat in the presence of investors, bankers, clients, and industry leaders makes this milestone truly special,” Dr. Shah said. “This migration marks the beginning of Solex’s next chapter of growth and highlights the nation’s commitment to sustainable development. We have been putting our souls in solar since 1995 and remain dedicated to driving India’s clean energy journey through innovation, technology, and inclusivity," said Shah.
During the year, Solex expanded its manufacturing capabilities by starting commercial production at its 800 MW Tadkeshwar facility, increasing total operational capacity to 1.5 GW. The company also launched a 2.5 GW expansion project currently under testing, with full-scale production expected by Diwali 2025. An additional 2.5 GW expansion is planned by the end of FY26, which will take total capacity to 6.5 GW.
As per the firm's statement, Solex’s growth model is built on inclusivity and sustainability, with more than 70 percent of its workforce drawn from tribal and indigenous communities. Under its Vision 2030, the company aims to achieve 10 GW of module and 10 GW of cell manufacturing capacity, along with forays into wafer and ingot production to establish a fully integrated solar value chain in India.
This roadmap aligns with the Government of India’s AatmaNirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat initiatives aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing and achieving energy independence.
