Solarworld Energy Solutions Ltd. has clinched a significant engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) deal with NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. for a 325 MW solar photovoltaic project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

"This significant agreement underscores our dedication to accelerating India's clean energy transition through cutting-edge solar and battery storage technologies. A win for sustainable development," said the firm in its social media post.

The Bikaner project is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing India's clean energy goals and bolstering grid resilience through integrated storage capabilities.

It may be noted that in April 2025, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.(GUVNL) awarded a standalone battery energy storage (BESS) contract. Solarworld, in partnership with HG Infra Engineering, secured a 200 MW / 400 MWh facility at a tariff of USD 3,288.31 per MW/month.

It also aligns with Rajasthan’s rapidly expanding role as a hub for solar development, thanks to its high irradiation levels and vast land availability.
