Solarworld Energy Solutions has announced that the company has signed an EPC contract with NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) for the development of a 200 MW solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The company secured the capacity in NTPC REL’s BoS package auction for developing 1,000 MW solar PV projects in Bikaner. The approximate value of the order is INR 267.53 crore.
The project is expected to be completed within 19 months. The company will also carry out comprehensive operation and maintenance of the solar PV plant for 3 years.
With its order book now surpassing 1.5 GW, Solarworld Energy Solutions is steadily scaling its execution capabilities, the company stated.
“To vertically support our EPC growth, we’ve commenced manufacturing with a 1.55 GW ALMM-listed module line, with a high-efficiency cell line coming soon. This ensures a seamless supply of high-quality modules for our large-scale projects,” the company stated.
Last month, the company received a Letter of Award for a BESS package at Solapur Super Thermal Power Station in Maharashtra under Lot-1. The contract is valued at INR 314.26 crore, excluding taxes, and involves the development of a 132 MW/264 MWh battery energy storage system. The project is to be executed within 15 months.
