Residential solar EPC company SolarSquare has announced the launch of a nationwide solar campaign, ‘Apna Desh, Apni Bijli’. The campaign aims to celebrate and accelerate India’s journey toward energy independence through rooftop solar adoption. It calls on homeowners to take control of their electricity generation and help free the nation from dependence on imported fossil fuels.

The campaign delivers a simple yet powerful message: patriotism isn’t only about flags and parades – it’s about the quiet, determined choice to go solar. It celebrates families across India who have become truly Atmanirbhar by generating their own clean energy, reducing their carbon footprint, and securing lower costs for years to come, the company said in a statement.

‘Apna Desh, Apni Bijli’ aligns with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which empowers every household to harness solar energy.

Shreya Mishra, Co-Founder and CEO of SolarSquare, said, “When we started SolarSquare 10 years ago, we were just a small five-member team with a big dream — to power India one rooftop at a time. Today, as the country celebrates its 79th Independence Day, we are proud to have helped over 30,000 families take this quiet yet powerful step toward the nation’s energy independence. Going solar is not just a financial decision; it’s an investment for our future generations. This Independence Day, we salute every Indian who has joined the solar revolution and invite millions more to make their own electricity. Atmanirbhar homes with solar power will make Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

She further added that since its inception, SolarSquare has installed residential solar systems in over 20 cities, helping more than 30,000 families generate clean electricity.

“The Apna Desh, Apni Bijli campaign aims to inspire pride, drive action, and remind Indians that going solar is not just an environmental or financial decision –  it’s also an act of national service,” the company said.
