With an aim to help Indians secure jobs and upgrade skillsets in the renewable energy sector, Oorjan, an emerging solar startup, has launched two platforms i.e. Greenjobs and Greenstitute.

The company said that these portals will help in providing a better reach for newer, better and more suitable jobs, and giving them access to various certification courses, respectively.

Both the platforms are managed by a team of IITians driving awareness around solar power solutions and helping people adopt the same, under OORZO.

OORZO has been on a mission of connecting qualified and deserving candidates to companies with vacancies and job opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

The idea behind the initiative is to bridge the gap of unemployment accentuated by the pandemic while promoting green living. So whether one is a fresher right out of college or an experienced professional, the platform can help them find secure right jobs in renowned companies.

Similarly, OORZO aims to address the knowledge gap for professionals who are seeking to make a transition, through Greenstitute, which offers upskilling modules designed by the experts.

Commenting on the initiative, Gautam Das, Co-founder and CEO of Oorjan said, “Covid-19 has adversely impacted everyone – both financially and psychologically. It has been an alarming reminder to everyone that nature is the ultimate ruler and we need to respect it. The economy and environment need to go hand in hand, and we should leave a better world for our loved ones. This pandemic has seen a sudden drop in job opportunities and many people even lost their jobs. Finding a new one is a significant challenge. Through Greenjobs by OORZO, we are striving to address this challenge and hope to help people sail through these pressing times.”
