Skipper Limited wins new orders for transmission towers

From the Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd. worth INR 200 crores

Skipper Limited has announced that it has secured new orders from Powergrid Corporation of India Ltd. for the supply of transmission towers in the domestic market. The total order is approximately worth INR 200 crores. The orders are for 765 kv double circuit transmission tower which would be supplied to various projects on a turnkey basis

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Sharan Bansal, Director, Skipper Limited, said, ‘We are excited that after a pro-longed waiting period, PGCIL has started opening financial bids for a large number of new bids which have been submitted in 2015-16. This trend is expected to continue on in Q1 of FY17 as well. Hence, our new order intake (including projects where we are favorably placed) in FY16 should be approx. 1300 cr from Domestic and International customers. We have further bids of approx. 1000-1200 cr still under consideration for which are awaiting financial bid opening.’

He further added, ‘At Skipper the objective is to produce world - class quality products ensuring robust national infrastructure development and supporting the governments ‘Make in India’ theme. We will continue to deliver high-quality products in the years to come.”
