Skipper Limited bags new orders worth INR 400 crore from Colombia
Focuses on strengthening global footprint in Africa, Europe, North America & the Latin American region

Skipper Ltd has announced that the company has secured new orders worth INR 400crore from Colombia, South America, for 500 KV Transmission line towers in Q4 of FY15. In its quest to expand its global footprint through securing major international contracts in the T&D space, these new orders from the Latin American market are a significant step in that direction.
Mr. Sharan Bansal, Director, Skipper Limited, stated, “The new orders are a result of our continued focus on growing our export revenues and are part of our long term Alliance agreements with Latin American TSO'S (Transmission system Operators). At Skipper Limited we provide high quality but cost effective solutions for global T&D Utilities and Contractors. ”
With these new orders, Skipper now has an order book of INR 24 Billion at end of Q4 FY’15 in its T&D business, assuring a 24-month revenue. It also enjoys a leadership position in the Indian T&D space and has witnessed a revenue growth of more than 50% in FY’14. Skipper’s global presence spans across South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, south and south East Asia and Australia.
Mr. Devesh Bansal, Director, Skipper Limited, stated, “There is a scope of augmented demand in the power T&D segment owing to development of mega transmission projects globally. Our top-line growth has been phenomenal with our revenue standing Rs.1165 Cr at FY 2013-14. Being one of the first companies in India to manufacture and supply 800 KV Transmission towers to PGCIL, today’s announcement is an account of our sustained focus on international markets which will develop more in times to come.”
Skipper Limited shares have yielded returns of an impressive 253.99% over the last 12 months which essentially highlights the phenomenal growth trajectory of the Company and the trust of its investors. Post this announcement the shares for Skipper Limited was quoting at Rs. 185.40, up Rs. 18.60, or 11.15% amid high volumes on the BSE.
