SJVN Secures 200 MW Solar Project Worth INR 1200 Crore from Maharashtra Discom

The project shall be built for time period of 18 months which shall be deemed from the date of inking of Power Purchase Agreement with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

SJVN's entirely owned subdivision SJVN Green Energy has procured a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for 200 MW Solar Power Project to be progressed at any location in the State of Maharashtra.

The project shall be built for time period of 18 months which shall be deemed from the date of inking of Power Purchase Agreement with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

The speculative cost of Construction / Development of this project shall be around  INR 1,200 crore.

The project is anticipated to produce 455.52 Mus (million units)  in the first year and the aggregate energy production for a time period of 25 years would be around 10480.82 MU.

Commencing of this Project is anticipated to minimize 5,13,560 Tonnes of carbon emission and would share towards GoI mission of 500 GW Renewable Capacity by the year of 2030.

The company's present renewable operational profile raised at 4,320.5 MW, from which 179.5 MW is in pipeline, 1,385 MW underway and 2,756 is at distinguish phases of implementation.

The company has well-balanced its contributed goal of 5,000 MW by 2023, 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW capacity by the year of 2040 with that of the government of India's objective of attaining 50 percent energy from non-fossil fuel resources by 2030.
