SJVN Invites Proposals for 1200 MW Solar Power Projects Across India

The selected developers will enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN for the purchase of power over a period of 25 years.

SJVN has issued a call for proposals for the selection of solar power developers for setting up of 1200 MW ISTS-connected Solar Power Projects anywhere in India under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).

The selected developers will enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN for the purchase of power over a period of 25 years.The minimum project capacity that can be offered is 50 MW, with a maximum capacity of 600 MW. The cumulative project capacity to be awarded under this Request for Selection (RfS) is 1200 MW.

For projects in North-Eastern States and Special Category areas, the minimum project capacity is 30 MW. Bids must be submitted in a single bid format offering a capacity between 50 MW and 600 MW in multiples of 10 MW.

The selection process will follow an Open e-Tender system using the Single Stage two Envelope system. The cost of the RfS document is INR 29,500 (including GST), and a Bid Processing Fee of INR 15 Lakh plus 18 percent GST per project is required, to be submitted through NEFT/RTGS transfer.

Additionally, an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 9,42,000 per MW per Project (subject to a maximum of INR 20 Crore) must be submitted in the form of a Bank Guarantee along with the response to RfS.

A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for May 10, 2024 and the deadline for submission of online bids is June 17, 2024. Hard copies of documents must be submitted by June 20, 2024. The Technical Bid will be opened on June 21, 2024.
