SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN Ltd., is inviting bids for the development of 1,352 MW solar power projects in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0, a part of the PM KUSUM Component C initiative.

The solar power project will be implemented across 102 sites in Maharashtra, with the total capacity distributed among four key districts. Pune will host 154 MW of solar capacity spread across nine different locations, contributing significantly to the region’s renewable energy goals. Nashik will see the development of 304 MW of capacity at 22 sites, enhancing the district’s solar infrastructure. Ahmednagar is set to accommodate 315 MW of capacity, while 579 MW, will be developed across 52 locations in Solapur.

The tender process commenced on December 21, 2024, with bid submissions open until January 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, as outlined in the tender documents. Bidders must submit bid processing fee of INR 1.5 million and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 1.27 million per MW of quoted capacity, totalling INR 20 crore for the entire project, along with a non-refundable tender fee of INR 5,900. Payments can be made through Bank Guarantee, Fixed Deposit Receipts (FDR), or other acceptable means specified in the tender documents.

The tender specifies stringent eligibility criteria, requiring bidders to have a net worth of INR 12.7 million per MW as of the last financial year, an annual turnover of INR 19 million per MW in the past three financial years, and an internal resource generation capacity of INR 3.8 million per MW. Additionally, bidders must secure a credit line of INR 10.6 million per MW from recognised financial institutions to meet working capital needs.

The project will deploy solar photovoltaic technology, which requires developers to use PV modules listed under List-I of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (ALMM) to ensure reliability and minimise delays.

This significant solar development effort supports Maharashtra’s renewable energy goals and aligns with the broader PM-KUSUM scheme’s mission to enhance agricultural productivity and promote clean energy adoption.
