SJVN Green Energy Commissions 128 MW at Bikaner Solar Project, Capacity Reaches Over 629 MW

SJVN Green Energy Ltd. commissioned 128.88 MW of its 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Project, raising cumulative operational capacity to 629.90 MW, with the remaining capacity expected to be commissioned soon.

State-owned SJVN Ltd.  has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Ltd.(SGEL) has commissioned 128.88 MW of solar capacity under its 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project in Rajasthan.

With this latest addition, the project’s cumulative commissioned capacity now stands at 629.90 MW, the company said in a regulatory filing, adding that the balance capacity will be commissioned shortly.

The Bikaner Solar Power Project, one of the largest in SJVN’s renewable energy portfolio, is expected to play a key role in strengthening India’s solar generation capacity and supporting the country’s clean energy transition goals.
