Singareni Commences Second Phase of 240 MW of Solar Power Plants at 13 Locations

The SCCL planned to install 240 MW of solar power plants in the second phase by establishing plants in 13 locations in the Singareni coal belt.

After the successful setting up of 224 MW of solar power plants out of the overall 300 MW solar plants in the first phase by the Singareni Collieries Company limited.
With the establishment of solar power plants, Singareni produced 750 million units and became the ‘’net zero’ energy company by saving power bills and producing solar power through its captive solar power plants.
The Singareni had decided to set up a total of 13 solar power plants in various locations.
The chairman stated that Singareni was saving power bills to the worth of INR 600 crore yearly by producing 750 million units of power through solar power plants in the first phase.
The second phase of solar power plants 240 MW would possibly generate 360 million units of power.
The execution of the first phase and second phase solar power plants overall of 540 MWs would ascertain the production of 810 million units of power.
