Signify’s Sumit Joshi Appointed as President of ELCOMA

Sumit Joshi, the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Signify Innovations India Ltd, appointed as the President of the industry body Electric Lamp and Component Manufacturers’ Association (ELCOMA).

ELCOMA is the apex body of Lighting Manufacturers in India which liaisons with government agencies and supports lighting industry in the country.

The appointment of Joshi, until now who was the Vice President of ELCOMA, announced on October 7, 2020.

He is a seasoned industry professional and a dynamic leader, with having extensive experience in leadership positions, managing both large and small business units and teams, establishing global businesses and successfully turning around challenging business units.

Commenting on his appointment, Sumit Joshi, said that, “it is my honor to lead ELCOMA at a time when the industry is going through an unprecedented situation. This pandemic has further strengthened the need for all stakeholders to work together towards accelerating growth for the sector and optimizing for the opportunities that it presents. I take on this position with a great sense of responsibility and commitment towards our common goals.”

As an active member, Joshi was instrumental in shaping the association’s ongoing projects and policies, bringing attention towards the most pressing issues of the industry and working with authorities for its welfare.
