Siemens Ltd. announces higher profitability in Q2 2015
New orders grow by over 1.8% & profit from operations by over 270 bps to 7.5% of revenue

For the second quarter of Financial Year 2015 ended March 31, 2015, Siemens Ltd. registered higher New Orders of Rs. 2,669 crore compared to Rs. 2,623 crore in the same period last year. Sales were lower at Rs. 2,588.9 crore in Q2 2015, compared to Rs. 2,657.7 crore in Q2 2014. Profit Before Tax rose in Q2 2015 to Rs. 237.1 crore compared to Rs. 133.8 crore in Q2 2014. and the Profit from Operations of the Company, as a percentage of revenue, increased from 4.8% in Q2 2014 to 7.5% in Q2 2015.
Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd., said, “We are satisfied with the volume growth considering the current economic environment and our profitability grew on account of our continued focus on the bottom line”.
