Siemens Gamesa to provide 202 MW of wind turbines in Spain

Under the terms of the contracts, 42 of the 63 wind turbines will be of the SG 3.4-132 model, 16 are SG 2.6-114 turbines and the remaining five will be the SG 2.6-126 model

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has announced that it will supply 63 wind turbines with a collective capacity of 202 MW for five diverse customers in the Spanish market.

In all, the company will supply its equipment to seven wind farms located in the provinces of Navarra, Valladolid, Zaragoza, Malaga and Cadiz. Siemens is also facilitating operating and maintenance (O&M) services for all of those facilities, it affirmed in the press release.

Under the terms of the contracts, 42 of the 63 wind turbines will be of the SG 3.4-132 model, 16 are SG 2.6-114 turbines and the remaining five will be the SG 2.6-126 model.

With these contracts, Siemens Gamesa reinforces its position at the top of the Spanish market, representing over 55% of the installed fleet. Since 2017, the company has sold 1.2 GW in the country, it held.
