Siemens brings offshore wind power plant in China online
The Jiangsu Rudong Offshore Wind Power Plant began operation in May 2012 and is Siemens\' first order for offshore wind power outside Europe.

Siemens has installed 21 SWT-2.3-101 wind turbines off the coast of the Rudong district in the East China Sea having a total output of approximately 50 megawatts (MW). Completion of the project is an important step for Siemens in China's fast-growing wind energy market. The customer is Jiangsu Longyuan Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of one of the world's largest wind energy project developers, China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Ltd. The scope of delivery also includes a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
